I know my body pretty well, and Im generally very good at reading the very early signs that my immune system is taxed.
Before the onset of a cold Ill get the following symptoms:
- Chapped lips
- Dry mouth
- Loss of taste for coffee (which for those of you who know me, never happens)
Well today I felt like that. I tried to do some spinning on the trainer, but after 10minutes, I could tell my body wasnt there. So I aborted the workout, and made dinner.
After a very productive 2-3 weeks, it makes sense that my body is taking the toll of the workout load. Typically, I always get a cold around this time of year. The transition from zero outdoor riding and low intensity to tons of outdoor riding and high intensity always kicks my ass.
So Im going to bed early and popping some vitamin supplements. Hopefully this one blows over quickly.
